We are online!

We quickly realized that many regional bicycle dealers were missing potential because they were not well positioned online. So before we invest in a brick-and-mortar store, one thing was clear to us: we need an online shop. The launch took place this year.

The garage became the main warehouse. The trade in parts picked up more momentum than we would have imagined and the boxes in the apartment quickly piled up to the ceiling. A warehouse was needed! The only thing that was cheap and close was a garage where we could gain our first logistics experience. SMParts. slowly took shape.

2011

Reach throughout Germany

Our goal wasn't just to supply the cycling community, we wanted to become part of it. So in order to stand out across Germany, we had to draw attention to ourselves. The first small advertising campaigns – especially online and especially on social networks – were launched.

2012

SMParts. gets a home

With the opening of our first store in Nuremberg, we were finally able to take a big step towards becoming a full-service provider for everything to do with bikes. More advice, more workshop services and a personal contact point for bike lovers from Nuremberg, the region and beyond became tangible in our new home.

2014

A milestone and important pillar for the company

The first employee alongside the founder Marcel laid the foundation for further growth. What makes us particularly proud is that Chris is still part of the SMParts. family today and is now an integral part of the company as chief mechanic.

2016

The shipping volume is growing

Another employee joins our team and primarily takes care of the large warehouse and especially shipping. With more than 5,000 online orders that reach us every year, it was high time that we took even more manpower into account to accommodate the increased shipping volume.

2017

It grows and grows and grows

We also have everything you find online from us in stock. Especially during the season we reached our limits in terms of space. Reducing inventory and selection for our customers was never an option - on the contrary. The first additional external storage for bicycles and frames was needed.

2018

Content for the community

Social media was an important channel early on to draw attention to us and our products. Since 2018, we have been reaching more than 120,000 people online every month with our content and ads and inspiring them with our passion.

2022

The next level has been reached

With our move to Fürth, we have taken a step closer to our roots, as the shop is not far from the garage where it all began. On the other hand, the store marks the next level for us: with 660 square meters, state-of-the-art equipment and a huge open workshop, it offers space for a large showroom, detailed customer discussions and logistics that are even more efficient when bundled in the connected warehouse.

Even more expertise comes on board. Our team is gradually growing organically. More power in the workshop, competence on the sales floor and in advice as well as those responsible for the back office and social media and on all fronts.

The customer is the focus

With our new website and other digital tools for better services, we are putting our customers at the center of everything we do. They are the ones who make success possible and they are the ones we want to get off our feet and put on our bikes. We look forward to the coming years with you, further milestones and awesome projects!
