Absolute Black chainrings are CNC milled from a single piece of aluminum and then anodized. They were developed specifically for the SRAM Apex 1 crank with an asymmetrical 110 millimeter bolt circle. The chainrings have optimized teeth that prevent the chain from coming off. The principle follows that of the Shimano chainrings. In conjunction with a Shimano Shadow+ rear derailleur, which has a greatly increased pretension on the cage, the chain is reliably held in position even without a chain guide.

Ovalizing the chainring increases performance by varying the drivetrain and optimizing resistance. Kicking with your legs brings your natural strengths and weaknesses into harmony. In this way, better use of the stronger muscle groups is achieved and the weaker muscles are compensated for the commute (smaller stroke).
