Cannondale have reinvented the ultimate aluminum racing machine: it's now even faster and more versatile and ticks all the boxes twice. Faster, smoother, more comfortable and more versatile than anything that came before it, the new CAAD13 is designed to go head-to-head with the competition's carbon fiber bikes - except on price.

The added speed comes from the slim integrated design, which is equipped with a new series of shortened wing profiles. With the same weight and at least the same (usually better) stiffness than round tubes, these minimalist wings can reduce wind resistance by up to 30 percent, giving you more speed for less work.

To improve comfort and riding experience over the CAAD12 (famous for its smooth ride), the CAAD13 features lowered seatstays, an integrated seat clamp and an integrated 27 KNØT seatpost, doubling the frame's compliance. The bike rides so smoothly that Cannondale has once and for all destroyed the myth of carbon's comfort advantage over aluminum.

The frame features highly shortened profile tube shapes that offer the same weight and the same or better rigidity as round tubes, but can reduce air resistance by up to 30%.

Significant performance
The new frame design has room for really large tires. The disc brake versions can accommodate 30mm tires, with plenty of clearance, for added comfort and performance on any road surface.

The CAAD13 offered here is equipped with Shimano 105 Disc drive components. The in-house Cannondale 1 crank shines with its lightness, high shifting comfort in combination with maximum durability and thus complements the outstanding properties of the CAAD13. Solid Fulcrum wheels bring the entire driving force to the road in a robust and torsion-resistant manner.
