Vulcanized tires made of natural rubber score points with a very good price-performance ratio.
Nylon is a carcass braid that comes in essentially three thread sizes - 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) - and is wrapped around a wire or aramid bead. The nylon braid is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered (squashed) between large steel rolls to create the finished carcass. In bicycle tires, nylon offers a first-class cost-benefit ratio thanks to its low price and comparatively simple processing. Vulcanized synthetic rubber
In order to combine a long service life with good driving characteristics, synthetic rubber is cooked and hardened. The result is the Vulcanized Clincher from Challenge: smooth-running tires with high grip and good comfort at an affordable price.
