The GatorHardshell folding tire is the right tire for the urban jungle. It gives every everyday racer that certain something and reliably brings commuters to work.
The indestructible hardshell puncture protection is comparatively wider and thicker than the PolyX Breaker and protects both the tread and the sidewall. In addition, DuraSkin makes the sidewall insensitive to curbs and other city hazards and a carcass consisting of three layers laid one on top of the other from bead to bead is indestructible. The tread compound used enables an extremely long service life.
Hardshell protection
Convincing puncture protection and durability are the strengths of the Hardshell ProTection. Comparatively wider than the PolyX Breaker®, it protects both under the tread and the sidewall. Together with the three-layer carcass with 60 TPI per layer, the tire becomes a true bulwark against external influences. Tires with Hardshell ProTection offer indestructible protection – exclusively “handmade in Germany”.
DuraSkin - Can take a beating
Tires with DuraSkin® sidewall protection must be able to take a beating. They are used under the most adverse conditions. On messenger bikes the tires slide along curbs, on touring bikes they cross continents without wearing out, and in racing they have to pass tough tests like Paris-Roubaix. The high-quality polyamide fabric reliably protects the side of the tire and prepares the tire for extreme conditions. These tires stand out from the crowd thanks to their brown sidewalls.
