The Super Sport Plus from Continental draws on the tried and tested profile of the good old Grand Prix and now features our Plus Breaker, which guarantees the highest level of puncture protection. Robust, extra thick carcass rubber means excellent sidewall durability. A particularly thick tread tread ensures even higher mileage than all other Contis. PlusBreaker:
Puncture protection made of highly elastic special rubber is used between the tread and the carcass. Almost impenetrable, this puncture protection successfully defies foreign objects of all kinds. Even a thumbtack cannot penetrate it.
The carcass is reliably protected from injuries. Tires with PlusBreaker can now be found in almost every segment: whether racing bike, cyclocross or city/trekking, the PlusBreaker guarantees maximum safety without negatively affecting the driving characteristics of the tire.
The consistency of the breaker has been adjusted so that the tire does not feel spongy when cornering. The PlusBreaker is pure puncture protection.
Note: Please check the recommended air pressure weekly using a pressure gauge. Plus tires are very stiff, making it difficult to feel the air pressure. Tires that are driven with insufficient air pressure have higher rolling resistance and also wear out more quickly.
