The Syntax™ MIPS® combines a touch of European flair with a little more coverage and high-performance features - all packed into a sleek design. The fit is extremely comfortable and secure - thanks to our highly adjustable Roc Loc® MIPS® system, which allows you to fine-tune the fit to your exact needs while always counting on the additional protection against rotational forces in an impact. The outer shell is made of robust polycarbonate, which is firmly bonded to the EPS foam inner shell thanks to our In-Mold™ construction process for increased durability and ventilation.

Roc Loc 5 Air: The Roc Loc 5 adjustment system sets standards in fit, stability and weight. The micro adjustment wheel enables fine adjustment in micro steps - easy and precise adjustment with 2 fingers. The inclination can be adjusted in height by 1.5 cm in 3 steps, even while the helmet is being worn. The ergonomic arms ensure maximum comfort and an optimal fit. Dual pad guides keep the helmet in position even on uneven terrain.

Super Fit™ Engineering: The Super Fit™ sizing system is the basis of Giro's product design and development process. Giro's many years of experience allow them to draw on a wealth of measurement data from a wide variety of head and face shapes during development. After a wide range of intensive tests in Giro's laboratories, the product is subjected to further tough practical tests and put through its paces by Giro's team riders. Optimization then continues until a maximum fit and comfort is achieved. Giro naturally makes no compromises in terms of quality and functionality.

In-mold: In this manufacturing process, the impact-resistant outer helmet shell is permanently bonded to the EPS inner foam. This means that in-mold helmets are reinforced in critical areas around ventilation openings and ribs. Lighter, cooler and more durable helmets are possible.
Wind Tunnel: Wind Tunnel ventilation is Giro's proprietary system of internal channels and active vents that direct cool fresh air over and around your head, forcing out exhausting heat and stale air.

The MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) consists of a movable shell inside the helmet that follows the movement of the head (10-15mm) and dampens any rotational energy that may occur in the event of a fall in order to protect the brain.
