H+Son THE HYDRA x MACK HUBS Track, fixed gear wheelset 24 holes
One of the best, most stable and stiffest rims on the market is the H+Son THE HYDRA - wider and lighter than the Archetype and developed for disc brakes. Reason enough for us to offer you a finished wheel set based on this. The disc rim, which weighs only 440 g but is extremely stiff, is made of particularly durable G609 aluminum. The 23mm high and 25mm wide Hydra is processed to the highest standard and is welded at the joint and is virtually invisible, making it even stiffer. Due to their width, the tires sit more firmly in the rim, which gives them the properties of a tubular tire, which is particularly noticeable when cornering. The rim has no braking surface and is therefore only suitable for disc brakes or brakeless. The rim is tubeless capable.
MACK hubs are lighter than most railway hubs on the market and are still very resilient and stable. The CNC-machined hubs are constructed from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, a material that is 300% stronger than the standard aluminum grades otherwise used in the bicycle industry. The stainless steel female bolts complete the whole thing and give the hub a very high-quality look.
The wheelset was extremely carefully laced by hand with lightweight, aerodynamic Pillar WING22 knife spokes. The spoke has the necessary diameter for torque transmission and at the same time has favorable and superior aerodynamic properties with low or the same weight!
We carefully build all of our wheels by hand in our workshop. This craft process takes time; especially during the season, we may not be able to have all the wheels in stock in the specified time. We aim to ship the wheels within 1 week of payment.
