The highlight of the RS4 hubs - all hubs can be converted to other axle standards as usual. Ergo: You now buy a hub for quick release and can also use it with a thru axle on your next bike.
For many years, Hope has adapted its established MTB technologies for road bike hubs. The result: hubs that were incredibly durable and reliable, no matter what the weather or the condition of the road. The RS4 are a little different. They were developed from the ground up as road bike / cyclocross hubs. They also have Hope's legendary reliability thanks to high-quality industrial bearings made of stainless steel. In addition to the non-disc and 6-hole hubs, the RS4 is also available as a center lock version. The revised and installed Shimano 11-speed freewheel now offers the option of installing any Shimano (and compatible) MTB / road bike cassette up to 11-speed. A spacer for 9/10-speed is included with the hub.
Extremely high-quality and precisely manufactured rear hub made of 2014 T6 aluminum in the version for 12x142mm thru axle. The RS4 rear hub is equipped with a revised ratchet system for the current season. The freewheel body and pawl carrier are made of 7075 aluminum. Four pawls drive a ratchet with 44 teeth, which sits in the hub and is sealed by a frictionless seal. The hub is also equipped with two high-quality stainless steel bearings, which enables a longer service life and greatly improved running properties. Several conversion kits enable compatibility with different frames. The enlarged hub flanges mean that the spoke holes are further apart than on other hubs. This increases stability and distributes the forces better. The hub body is CNC-manufactured and high-quality anodized for long durability.
