HOPE Tech4 E4 disc brake system 4-piston with steel braided line especially for (e)Bullitt

The brand new Tech 4 E4 builds on over 25 years of experience in the development and manufacture of hydraulic braking systems. The Tech 4 uses an all-new internal seal for reduced friction and the pivot rotates on roller bearings, allowing the spring rate to be reduced. The lower spring rate, in turn, provides lighter leverage, reducing rider fatigue and maintaining our legendary feel and modulation. The updated E4 caliper uses hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert, allowing for smoother movement and less maintenance while still being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.

The strong Tech 4 E4 four-piston disc brake from Hope was completely redeveloped and is actually designed for MTBs, all mountain, freeride or downhill - what works off-road is not bad for your cargo bike.

Tech 4 lever
As before, the lever width and pressure point can be adjusted without tools and the piston is actuated by a cam with a roller system so that the lever can be pulled easily without any idle travel. The two-part clamp for attaching to the handlebar simplifies installation because you don't have to remove anything from the handlebar to install the lever.

E4 brake caliper
The E4 Postmount brake caliper has black bore covers behind which there are 4 x 16mm brake pistons, which provide maximum braking power together with Hope's legendary controllability. The cable outlet is on the inside of the brake caliper to prevent the cable from kinking. The sealed bleed nipple ensures easier maintenance. For easy handling, the brake pads can be mounted from above. For a super elegant look and long durability, the brake is completely anodized and has laser-etched Hope logos.

• The shifter integration has been improved and now offers 30° angle adjustment as well as cleaner packaging and compatibility with the latest shifters. Lateral adjustment on either side of the master cylinder is also possible to provide a variety of lever position options.
• Hybrid-style pistons that allow smoother movement and require less maintenance, as well as a phenolic insert to manage heat transfer under extreme use.
• The Tech 4 retains the tool-free bite point and range adjustment of the Tech 3
