Description
First Gravel chainring Narrow/Wide for 1x11 from Kappstein 5x110mm bolt circle
The Ridge is the first gravel chainring from Kappstein. It differs mainly in the tooth design. Since the Ridge was designed for the 1x11 drive, which is widely used in gravel, it received the narrow-wide design typical for its intended use. Alternating thicker and thinner teeth ensure that the chain stays where it belongs - on the teeth. It is available for the bolt circle 5 x 110mm as well as for asymmetrical standards such as 4 x 96mm and 4 x 110mm. The engraving on the front is by designer Alice Kuczminski. With a little imagination and "put it in the right light" traces of a tire tread in the dirt become visible. The elegant look is created by the fact that the chainring is not engraved after, as usual, but before coating. 100% Made in Germany.
"Round Teeth Design"
The cap stone "Round Teeth Design" is the further development of the usual pointed tooth design. Compared to other sprockets, the tooth contour of Kappstein chainrings and sprockets clearly shows that the teeth are wider and less pointed. The result is more efficient power transmission with optimal chain fit. It also increases durability because the chain can be better gripped and guided by the teeth. The “round-teeth design” is used on all chainrings and sprockets from Kappstein.
