Description
Larry vs Harry STePS eBullitt e6100 XT Di2 - cargo bike / Miss Bullitt
The one and only cargo bike! In stock and available for immediate delivery.
The legendary Bullitt really needs no introduction. Lighter, stiffer and more agile than many of its competitors. The stiff and durable 7005-T6 aluminum frame transports small and large packages effortlessly. The Bullitt is a decent car replacement, especially for a young family.
The STePS eBullitt is now also available in the e6100 version with XT Di2 gears. It is equipped with a powerful and durable Shimano STePS mid-engine e6100. The fine sensors in the bottom bracket ensure pleasant and powerful support. A Shimano XT Di2 derailleur with electronic servo gears is used to match the motor. Here, the gears are now changed electro-mechanically. The Shimano Pedelec drive is switched by pressing a button: arrow up switches to a harder gear, arrow down to a lighter gear. Particularly interesting on the cargo bike: when you stop, the hub automatically switches to a light gear to make starting easier. All of this may seem like a superfluous gimmick to some, but it keeps the handlebars tidy and your head clear even on a long delivery day.
The use of a Shimano e6100 bottom bracket motor (250W / 60NM) also results in a low center of gravity. The battery with a capacity of 418 Wh (36 volts, 11.6 AH) is also attached to the head tube of the Pedelec in a position that is very favorable for the center of gravity and is fully charged in about four hours. The running time is up to 125km. The battery supplies the motor with energy, of course, but also the gears and the lighting. Good to know: Even when the battery is empty, there is still enough energy for around 1,500 gear changes.
TRP's Slate T4 brakes with 180mm discs ensure the appropriate deceleration of the E-Bullit, which rolls on Schwalbe Marathon eBike tires as standard, and the tapered head tube increases driving stability. The upright seating position behind the Busch and Müller front and rear lights, which can be adjusted to 100mm in length using a speed lifter, ensures excellent visibility on the Pedelec. The lighting also draws its power from the drive's battery, although the low power consumption of the lights will probably only elicit a tired smile from the energy storage unit.
There is space for a child seat on the loading area, which is even protected from wind and weather thanks to the canopy. At 30kg (fully equipped), it is one of the lightest series-produced cargo bikes with an electric drive. With a total length of 2450mm, it is compact enough to maneuver around any corner and to stow comfortably. With the large loading area of 720x470mm, it also offers enough space.
The Bullitt was further developed and improved for the 2015 model series. The frame was fitted with the new standard "tapered" head tube and a new fork was also developed for it. With the tapered fork (1 1/8 - 1.5"), the Bullitt has more stability at the front, as the power distribution is improved by the wider cone support. The front end also has a new, flat bearing cover. This ensures greater safety for passengers and makes it easier to transport larger and bulkier loads.
The price already includes the finished assembly of the Bullitt when picked up in our store.
