The Omnium Mini-Max WIFI cargo bike is a sporty cargo bike with a large loading area for transport. The WiFi version differs from the "normal" Classic equipment in that it has more tire clearance and thru axles - so you are well equipped for any terrain. The Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tires offer the necessary grip and comfort.

The Omnium Mini-Max is an incredibly versatile, lightweight and fast cargo bike that can handle heavy loads and large items with ease.

Best of all, its clever design and familiar geometry mean it rides like a regular bike when unloaded.

The Mini-Max is also the model with the longest wheelbase, which requires a very stable ride. The wheelbase also allows for great stability when loading the luggage rack on your own, as the weight is positioned in the middle of the front wheel and the side stand.

The new Mini-Max WiFi has been optimized for 55mm (2.15") tires front and rear. The list of benefits associated with larger tires is long, but here are a few we think are important. High volume tires run at lower tire pressures, creating a significant layer of suspension between you and the ground. This results in far more comfort and control when driving on all surfaces, making it easier to work on rough roads, gravel and cobblestones. The fast semi-slick tire tread results in a small rolling speed penalty, but more importantly increases grip and stability, and also reduces the risk of flat tires.

The frame and fork have also been updated to accommodate 15x100mm front and 12x142mm rear thru axles. Although thru axles were first seen on downhill mountain bikes in the late 90s, most bikes with disc brakes use them these days. On our cargo bikes they make perfect sense. The axle bolts through a closed hole in the frame and fork, then through the hub and bolts directly into the dropout on the other side. Most importantly, this system increases stiffness, rigidity under braking and under load, and reduces the risk of incorrect installation and disc brake drag.
