The R-550 SPD-SL Technology is an upscale entry-level pedal and is available in two colors. It is another 20g lighter than the simple PD-5700. The very stable pedal body is equipped with a stainless steel cover to keep wear even lower. The extra-wide contact area ensures a stable connection between pedal and shoe and more efficient power transmission. Shimano uses very low-maintenance and sealed compact bearing units here. Quick and easy entry with adjustable trigger hardness with display.
