The Shutter Precision SD-8 hub dynamo is not only very small, but at 375 grams it is also definitely one of the lightest. The SD-8 combines high efficiency with low no-load losses and is therefore in no way inferior to the larger PD-8. Although the disc brake variant is exposed to higher loads and therefore has an internally reinforced hub housing, the appearance was still kept delicate and the weight was kept low. The powerful magnetic core ensures high performance and different colors and numbers of holes are also available in this version.
It is developed for 20" inch wheels and delivers a nominal power of 3 watts at a voltage of 6 volts. However, it can also be used on 26" and 28" wheels, the output is then 2.4 watts. The SD-8 is coming with a 6-hole brake disc mount. Suitable for quick-release axles.
