The unique aerodynamic shape of the hub dynamo could be optimized so that the dynamo could be reduced to the size of a golf ball and a weight of just 323g.

For 16 to 20 inchers
The efficiency of the 9 series is StVZO compliant. The efficiency was perfectly tailored to the StVZO.

For 26 to 28 inchers
The StVZO requires an output voltage of 3 V even at slow speeds of just 5 km/h. When mounted on 26 and 28 inch wheels, the 9 Series delivers 3 V output voltage from 5.8 km/h and from 6.4 km/h respectively.

Furthermore, the StVZO requires 5.7 V output voltage from 15 km/h. When mounted on 26 and 28 inch wheels, the 9 Series delivers 5.7 V output voltage from 15.7 km/h and from 17.7 km/h respectively.

The 9 series is the perfect hub dynamo for 16 and 20 inch wheels. As added value for driving pleasure, the 9 Series offers low weight and smooth running.

The ULTRASLIM hub dynamo can just as easily be mounted on 26 and 28 inch wheels. The speed differences in relation to the StVZO requirements are so small that they can be ignored. The 9 Series is definitely the one for speed junkies.
