Thomson offers two carbon handlebars for the mountain bike enthusiast: A flat handlebar with an off-center clamp area that allows for a flat riding position and is reversible for 29-inch wheels to allow for a 5mm drop. They also have an 8° backsweep for comfort and a 730mm (29′) width for plenty of leverage.

The second model is 750mm wide and offers 15mm rise along with an 8° backsweep and 5° upsweep. It's designed for strength with enough flexibility for all-day comfort. It's strong enough for all-mountain/trail riding and light enough for racing.

The handlebars are made of three different fiber types with different tensile strength and tensile modulus, including high-strength carbon fiber. This helps distribute stiffness and flexibility where they are needed.
The handlebars are molded with an EPS mandrel inside to avoid wrinkles in the layup during molding. Most other handlebars are formed using inflated nylon bladders. All carbon fiber material is manufactured by Toray and uses custom nano epoxy resin for very high impact resistance. Toray is the main carbon fiber supplier to Boeing and Airbus. 1.5K woven impact ends prevent damage to unidirectional fibers from shortening the pole or impacting the ground. With a light weight and precision tolerance clamping sections, this is the best handlebar for your Thomson X4 stem. It is also EN certified and DIN+ tested.
